Mohave Valley man faces DUI charges

KINGMAN, AZ (CBS5) -

A Mohave Valley man was arrested Monday on suspicion of drunken driving after sheriff's deputies saw his vehicle speeding 65 mph in a posted 45 mph zone, swerving and almost hitting parked vehicles in a residential neighborhood.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and smelled alcohol on the breath of the driver, 31-year-old Aaron Perlin, sheriff's investigators said.

Perlin admitted to having two beers earlier, according to sheriff's deputies. Following the field sobriety tests, Perlin was taken into custody to the Mohave County District 2 Substation.

An analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration to be .198 percent, investigators said. He was booked into the jail without incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
