KERSHAW COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

A third arrest has been made in a deadly hit-and-run that occurred near Elgin more than two months ago.

According to the Highway Patrol, 24-year-old Fabian Rosales of Elgin was arrested Friday. He is charged with accessory before the fact.

Earlier this week, 26-year-old Jesus Corona Cabal of Columbia was arrested charged with accessory after the fact.

Troopers describe Cabal as an acquaintance of 21-year-old Joselyn Bonilla, who was arrested and charged Tuesday with leaving the scene of an accident involving death and driving with no license.

Investigators say Cabal helped destroy the 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse that collided with 50-year-old Derk Lawrence Maricle, who was walking north on Blaney Road around 2 a.m. on March 1.

Investigators said Bonilla fled after hitting Maricle, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say Rosales was a passenger in Bonilla's vehicle the night of the crash.

Family members said Maricle was hit from behind, breaking his back and neck. He had been at a nearby bar and was likely dressed in dark colors, walking everywhere he went.

Crimestoppers tips led investigators to Bonilla.
