ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Monroe Lady Tornados senior Davone Anduze was one of the backbones of the Monroe girl's basketball team over the last few years. Now the senior will be taking her tenacious defense north to Atlanta.

Anduze signed a college scholarship with Atlanta Metro College Monday in the Monroe High media center. She was a cornerstone on the Lady Tornados region championship team this past season on both ends of the court.

Atlanta Metro plays in the GCAA with Darton and Albany Tech. But when it comes to Monroe.  Anduze some things will just be hard to let go.

"It's a lot. Its so much. We're like a family. So I'm really going to miss that because all of these players are like my little sisters they are like and they look up to me so yea. Ill miss that a lot."

Anduze plans to major in sports medicine at Atlanta Metro.
