Georgetown man accused of soliciting teen boys now facing drug charges

GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) -

A Georgetown bar and restaurant owner recently charged with multiple counts of solicitation for prostitution will also be hit with two drug charges, according to Georgetown police.

Georgetown Police Captain Nelson Brown said investigators arrested 46-year-old Kenneth Carl Terry, owner and operator of the Krazy Fish, located at 619 Front Street.

Terry, who was charged with four counts of solicitation for prostitution, has also been charged with simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charges stem from a police investigation into allegations of prostitution and the sale of alcohol to minors, and the proposition of young, teenaged boys at the restaurant, authorities say.

Officials with the Georgetown County Detention Center said Terry was granted $792.50 for each of his four prostitution charges during a hearing. He is, however, still detained in the Georgetown County Detention Center waiting on more warrants to be served.

The investigation is ongoing and Nelson said more arrests are expected.

Police say Terry is scheduled to see a magistrate on Wednesday.
