Police investigating meth lab at hotel

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

Columbia police have arrested a couple after finding an active meth lab in a hotel Wednesday morning.

41-year-old Greggory Thomas Jones is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute meth, possession of heroin and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

39-year-old Jennifer Boone Livingston is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute meth, possession of marijuana and possession of heroin.

Jennifer Timmons from the Columbia Police Department says officers were searching for a wanted person at Affordable Suites on Stoneridge Drive when they discovered the lab in a room.  The hotel near Greystone Blvd and Interstate 126.

Timmons says a contractor is on the scene to clean up the lab. The Columbia Fire Department is also on the scene.

A man and a woman are under arrest but their names have not been released.

WIS has a crew headed to the scene and will have more on this as it develops.
