COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

Columbia Police officials have reopened several roads in downtown Columbia following the discovery of a suspicious package.

Police say the suspicious item was found in a shrubbery area at the Arsenal Hill Presbyterian Church, which is located at the intersection of Assembly Street and Laurel Street.

CPD officials say a citizen called 911 after seeing someone drop off a "duffle-like" bag in the shrubbery.

According to CPD spokesperson Jennifer Timmons, the bag contained clothing and other miscellaneous items.

No one was harmed.
