Tift Co.'s Tuff runnin' to Gardner-Webb

TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

Tift County Blue Devil big man Donell Tuff wanted to play close to home.

Tuff had offers from five schools, including Long Island, Manhattan, and Rider.

But his desire to play where his family could see him has Tuff running to join the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs.

"It's closer than LIU and Manhattan, so that's why I chose it," Tuff says. "I just wanted to feel like I was in high school, and there was a great atmosphere."

Tuff was a four-year starter for the Blue Devils, and finished his career with over 500 blocks and over 800 rebounds.

Gardner-Webb is located in Boiling Springs, NC, and plays in the Big South Conference.
