Colquitt Co.'s Hanna signs with Mercer

MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

Colquitt County star golfer Marin Hanna is taking her talents to the Division I level.

Hanna signed with Mercer Wednesday in front of friends, family, and teammates in Colquitt County High School's Media Center.

Hanna was the Lady Packers' low scorer during the team's 4th place finish in the 2012 AAAAA State Championship.

After visiting the campus, she said Mercer just felt like the right fit for her.

"I really liked the school, and I really like the coach," she says. "I thought it was a place I could get a good education, and I really just like their golf program, and I knew that I'd be able to play against major programs."

Hanna says she'd like to major in psychology with hopes of possibly becoming a sports psychologist.
