US Airways plane rolls into grass after landing at CLT

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

A US Airways flight from Myrtle Beach ended up in the grass after landing at Charlotte Douglas International Airport on Sunday evening.

A US Airways spokesman said flight 2658 landed around 6 p.m. and the nose gear ended up in the grass after coming to a stop near the end of the runway.

No injuries were reported and no one was taken to the hospital.

The passengers on board were taken to the terminal by bus.

The investigation into why the plane stopped in the edge of the grass is ongoing, according to the spokesman.
