ROCK HILL, SC (WBTV) -

Deputies with the York County Sheriff's Office arrested a man on child neglect charges after he ran away from his bail bondsman.

The incident began when a bondsman with In and Out Bail Bonds was checking on John Arden Fisher, 38, and was told by residents he had moved from the Charlotte home he was supposed to be staying at to a home in Rock Hill, the report states.

The bondsman went to the Rock Hill home to talk to Fisher, but Fisher ran away from him. The bondsman then called his office, who called Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police and confirmed Fisher had a warrant out on him.

Then, deputies said, a four-year-old girl walked out of the home Fisher was staying. That's when YCSO deputies were called.

The K-9 Team arrived, and located Fisher hiding in a nearby yard. He was arrested and charged with child neglect due to the fact he had left the girl home alone.

The girl and another daughter, who was picked up at school, were taken into emergency protective custody and were placed with the Department of Social Services.
