SOCASTEE, SC (WMBF) - Two bodies were found inside of a home on John Luther Road in Socastee early Saturday evening, according to Sergeant Robert Kegler with the Horry County Police Department.

The bodies have been identified as 55-year-old Terry Vick and 57-year-old Harry Vick, both from Socastee, according to Darris Fowler with the Horry County Coroner's Office.

Sgt. Kegler said the victims' daughter found her parents laying on the floor, and police were on the scene around 3:40 p.m. Saturday afternoon. both victims are believed to have died inside their home.

The autopsy results indicate an apparent homicide-suicide, and both victims died from fatal gunshot wounds to vital organs, according to Fowler. The Coroner's Office believes that the victims are husband and wife, and that Terry passed-away first, indicating that she was the homicide victim, and Harry was the suicide victim.

From the preliminary investigation, it appears to have been an isolated incident within the home.  Sgt. Kegler says police were notified sometime before 5 p.m. It is not known at this time who made the initial call to law enforcement.

Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit are on the scene investigating.

The home is located on John Luther Rd, which is off of Folly Rd near Hwy 707.
