NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

The father of the 3-year-old girl killed after a wreck in North Charleston on Monday is now listed in good condition at the hospital.

Medical University of South Carolina officials said Tyrone Hicks' condition was upgraded from fair to good on Thursday. Hicks' wife, Amanda, is also listed in good condition.

They were taken to MUSC, along with their 3-year-old daughter Tylia, on Monday after the wreck on Spruill Avenue near Clements Avenue. Tylia was ejected from the family's Chevy pickup during the crash.

She died later Wednesday night.

According to North Charleston police, preliminary reports show the Chevy pickup sideswiped another vehicle before it drove off the road, struck a curb, hit two utility poles and a tree.

Tylia, who was set to celebrate her birthday at Chuck E. Cheese this Sunday, was a passenger in the rear of the cab. She was thrown from the truck as it spun, according to police.

Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the accident and whether Tylia was properly restrained.

No charges have been filed.
