COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

The lockdown at Richland Northeast High School has been lifted after Richland County deputies searched for a home invasion suspect.

Richland County deputies were seeking a person who kicked in the door of a home on Cermack Street. A spokesperson for the Sheriff's Department says the homeowner was home at the time and called 911. There are no reports of any injuries.

Ken Blackstone from Richland School District Two says they put the school on lockdown as a precaution while deputies searched for the suspect.

No word on if the suspect was captured.

The school was on a brief lockdown earlier in the day as deputies looked searched for a suspect in a separate incident.
