COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -
Traffic heading into the capital city on South Carolina Highway 277 was delayed for a short time after a strange incident Tuesday morning.
According to police, last night's bad weather caused a guy wire connected to a power pole to break loose near the intersection of Colonial Drive and Bull Street.
A man driving his truck through the intersection unknowingly dragged the wire, which caused a power pole to fall on a woman's windshield.
She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
SCE&G responded to fix the power poles and lines.
Police had Harden Street and Colonial Drive closed at Bull Street for a short time while crews cleaned up the area.
