COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

The numbers are in, and they show a noticeable uptick in arrests this year during the annual St. Pat's in Five Points.

In total, 49 people were arrested during the event. Twenty-seven of those people were charged with drunkenness, 11 with disorderly conduct, two with drug possession, and one with simple assault.

Thirty-five festival-goers were arrested at the event in 2012 and just 14 were arrested in 2011.

Columbia Police say the increase in arrests isn't any reason to be concerned.

This year, there also were fewer drug and assault charges and no DUI or gun charges.
