NEWBERRY, SC (WIS) -

Three Newberry High School students have been charged with conveying a bomb threat after investigators say they called in threat.

Daisha Kibler, 17, and two 16-year-old juveniles have been arrested.  Kibler and one of the 16-year-olds were taken into custody Tuesday afternoon after deputies say they called in a bomb threat to the high school around 10:54 a.m.  Another 16-year-old was arrested Thursday.

Sheriff's deputies say a complete and thorough search of the school yielded no evidence of danger to anyone.

Bomb searching experts, first responders from several agencies, and district officials were called to the school after the threat was received just before noon.

Law enforcement officers said the threat did not appear to be substantiate, but acted in an abundance of caution to protect the students and staff.

After an approximately two hour disruption to the academic day, the school reopened around 1:30 p.m.

Kibler was taken to the Newberry County Detention Center to face the charge, and the other unidentified teens were taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia.

More arrests are possible, according to the Sheriff's Office.
