FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A police chase on Saturday ended with the arrest of Antonio Morrisey, who will be charged with a number of vehicular crimes, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The chase began in Sumter County where officials say at one point the pursuit caused a deputy to crash while Morrisey continued driving. He then hit a third party vehicle in Florence County and his vehicle went through a fence, causing the chase to come to a stop. He is being charged with reckless driving, possession of a stolen vehicle, driving without a South Carolina license, property damage and failure to stop at a blue light.

The person driving the third party vehicle was taken to the hospital, but is not suffering from life-threatening injuries, according to SCHP. The deputy hit was not injured, and Morrisey, who refused medical treatment, is not facing life-threatening injuries.
