HARTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) - Two women from Cheraw have been arrested in connection with the homicide of Hartsville singer Chandler Spencer.

Irene Foster, 37 and Kieara Laquashia Foster, 17, were arrested on March 12 and charged with accessory after the fact to a felony murder, police documents confirm. Both have been booked into Darlington County Detention Center.

Last week, 46-year-old John Rubin Mitchell was charged with the murder of Chandler Spencer, according to a news release from the city of Hartsville.

Spencer, a 51-year-old hip-hop and R&B singer, was found dead in the hallway of his apartment by family members on Monday, March 4 after he went missing on Thursday, February 28, according to the Hartsville Police Department. Mitchell was arrested by the Hartsville Police Department on Saturday, March 9.

Mitchell faces additional charges, including grand larceny and petit larceny.

Spencer was a singer who performed with Rob Base as Omar Chandler, family members confirmed. Officials said Spencer had a plated framed record in his home.

"It's just shocking to know your next door neighbor - someone you see every day and you just found out was stabbed," says Spencer's next door neighbor Mike Davis.

This case is still under investigation.
