CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Charleston police have arrested a 32-year-old man who they say beat his girlfriend bloody, robbed her of $300 and threatened to kill her if she told police.

Timothy Fred Glines of Ladson has been charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, armed robbery, kidnapping, and assault and battery 3rd degree.  At the time of the incident, he was on probation for failure to stop for blue lights, according to police.

According to a report, the incident occurred after the victim picked up Glines near the intersection of Savannah Highway and Pebble Road last Wednesday around 5:45 p.m.

The victim told police when Glines got in the car, he began punching her in the face a number of times and demanded her to take him to "an ATM that's a drive up" and withdraw $500. The victim said Glines may have had a box cutter in his hand at the time of the attack, because one was on the seat before he got in the car.

Police say the victim drove to an ATM at TD Bank on Orleans Rd. After her attempt to trigger an alarm at the ATM failed, she entered her PIN and was able to withdraw $300.

While driving to another location, the victim said Glines made a number of threats, stating "I'll kill you if you call the (expletive) cops," and "you better not tell anyone about this."

The report states Glines had her drop him off at Wendy's on Folly Road, where he got out of his girlfriend's car with the money and then got into a friend's car.

She then drove to West Ashley and called police.

When police arrived, they say the victim had a large amount of blood in her hair, on her clothes and spread throughout the front of the car.

She told police the two have a 16-month-old child, but the baby was not in the car at the time of the incident. She also refused to go to the hospital.

Glines is being held at the Charleston County Detention Center.
