COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Richland County boys have an opportunity to take classes on how they can defend themselves.
Sheriff Leon Lott says his deputies are offering a free self-defense training class on Saturday for boys ages 8 to 14.
The course is co-sponsored by Diana Arvay, who has worked with Lott's department for years on a self-defense course for women.
Registration for the 50-person class is closed. Lott says another class scheduled for April 6 is already full.
