HUDSON, TX (KTRE) -
Officers
with the Hudson Police Department arrested a 38-year-old man Tuesday night
after he allegedly shoved his daughter down and kicked her.
Johnnie
Davis Robinson, of Hudson, is still being held in the Angelina County Jail on a
felony injury to a child charge. No bond has been set at this time.
According
to Chief Jimmy Casper of the Hudson Police Department, the incident allegedly
occurred after Robinson got angry at the girl at their residence in the 300
block of Mt Carmel Street around 9 p.m. Tuesday. The girl was treated for her
injuries at a local hospital.
No exact
age was available for the girl. However, according to Texas law, the injury to
a child charge means the girl was 14 or younger.
Robinson
has had previous run-ins with the law. In June 2012, Texas Department of Public
Safety troopers arrested him at his home without incident for violating the
conditions of his parole in connection to a murder conviction in Harris County.
He broke his curfew, according to a Texas Department of Criminal Justice
spokesman.
TDCJ
spokesman Jason Clark said that Robinson was sentenced to 30 years in prison on
April 18, 1995. He was sentenced to another seven-year prison term on March 5,
2003 on an aggravated assault charge.
Other records show
Robinson was released on Nov. 21, 2011. He is on parole for the previous
charges until May 7, 2024. In June 2012, Clark said that Robinson was on super
intensive supervision, and did not return home when he was supposed to. That
was when the parole violation warrant was issued.
