ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
The Albany Tech men's basketball team (8-20, 4-14,) had a chance to put a damper in the plans of second place Chattahoochee Tech (25-3, 17-2) on Saturday. The Golden Eagles were a game behind East Georgia for first place in the GCAA coming into Saturday's game against the Titans. Albany Tech, though, couldn't muster enough offense losing to the Golden Eagles 79-56.
The Titans will play Georgia Highlands on Wednesday before wrapping up the regular season on Saturday at Georgia Perimeter.
Meanwhile, the Lady Titans (13-14, 6-11) got bit closer but ended up losing to Chattahoochee Tech (22-7, 9-3) 77-70 on Saturday at the HPER Gym. The Albany Tech women will also play Georgia Highlands on Wednesday before wrapping up the regular season on Saturday at Georgia Perimeter.
