Snow flurries possible in the Midlands

Posted: Updated:

Some snow flurries are possible in the Northern Midlands as cold air pushes into the area late Thursday night.

According to First Alert Meteorologist John Farley, Thursday will be dominated by rain. In the evening cold air will fill in on the back side of the storm.  As it does, it could touch off a few wet snow flakes in the northern Midlands, but nothing will accumulate and it won't be cold enough to impact any travels.

So if it happens, it'll be brief with no impacts, said John.

If you're looking for more significant snow, you have to go to the mountains of North Carolina, where they could see up to 3 inches of snow.
