SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -
Former Worth County star Meshack Williams has traveled a long road to stardom at Kansas State and the Big 12 conference"Some people thought I couldn't do it but that is what pushed me to where I am at now. Knowing they doubted me and I kept going. My family kept me motivated. Some my friends and my family kept me motivated. It got me to where I am at now," said Meshack Williams.
Williams was welcomed home for Tuesday night's Worth County basketball game against Westover.
The two sport star at Worth County was the Big 12 Conference's defensive lineman of the year and led the conference in quarterback sacks.
The Wildcats won the league title but finished their season with a loss to Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl last week.
Meshack says the bowl loss doesn't dampen a conference championship for a Kansas State team picked to finish at the bottom of the Big 12.
Williams is now preparing for the NFL draft in April.
