Georgia Southwestern's hot start in the Peach Belt Conference ends with a cold second half.

USC Aiken defeats Georgia Southwestern 67-64 at the Storm Dome Thursday.

Jamon Hawkins did score a career high 24 points for the Canes who fall to 6-4 and 2-1 in the Peach Belt.

USC Aiken defeated the Lady Canes 84-51.

In other local college action, Albany State women win at Kentucky State 78-73.

The Rams fall to the Thorobreds  70-54.

In the Gulf South, UAH hits a three-point shot with 2.7 seconds left to deny Valdosta State an upset of the #3 Chargers 79-77.

The Lady Blazers win 54-51.

Darton women go on the road and defeat West Georgia Tech 93-54.

In high school basketball, Sherwood Christian boys beat Randolph-Southern 85-63.
