Columbia Police have arrested three people, including a 16-year-old, in a home invasion early Sunday morning.

Police arrested 20-year-old Andree Moore, Jr. and 22-year-old Treshea Bolden after the burglary of a home on Bratton St.

Moore is charged with burglary, larceny, gun violations and possession of drugs. Bolden is charged with accessory after the fact of a felony.  The 16-year-old suspect is charged with burglary and larceny.

Moore and the teen are accused of breaking into the home at about 4 a.m. Sunday morning by forcing their way into a back door. Once inside, police say they stole more than $9,300 worth of items, including electronics, weapons, jewelry, purses and perfume.

Witnesses gave police good descriptions of the suspects and the car they used to drive away. With those descriptions, officers caught up with the vehicle and arrested them.

While searching the vehicle, police say they found a pistol that was reported stolen from Forest Acres and a bag of what is believed to be marijuana.

Police are looking into two other burglaries in the neighborhood that may be connected to this crime.  Just after 3 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to two homes on Hagood Ave. that were broken into, but nothing was reported stolen.

In one incident, the resident heard a knock on the door and walked downstairs to find a person standing inside the house.  When the resident yelled, the intruder ran off.

All three were taken to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
