WEST COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

Lexington County Sheriff's deputies arrested two men accused of stealing steel beams from a church and selling them for scrap metal.

Deputies arrested 49-year-old Ronald Welch of Lexington and 28-year-old Michael Hall of West Columbia Friday.  They are charged with one count each of grand larceny.

Deputies say they saw Welch and Hall steal more than $10,000 worth of steel beams from the House of Praise on Leaphart Rd. Friday afternoon.  Deputies say on four separate occasions, the men stole steel beams from the site and sold them at CMC Recycling in Cayce.

The Sheriff's Department says both Welch and Hall were released from the Lexington County Detention Center Saturday after posting $20,000 bond.

Deputies are investigating any other crimes in which Welch and Hall may have been involved.  If you know anything, call Crimestoppers at 1-888-Crime-SC.
