RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) -
The victim of a home invasion not only has to deal with a gunshot wound suffered during the crime, but he also faces drug charges.
Richland County Sheriff's deputies were called to an apartment in the 1000 block of Piney Woods Rd. Sunday morning for a report of a home invasion. The victim told deputies a man kicked in the door and shot him during a fight.
The victim was shot in the lower body and taken to the hospital with what deputies describe as non-life threatening injuries.
The shooter ran off.
Deputies say they found drugs in the apartment and the shooting victim will be charged with several drug counts upon release from the hospital.
