Capt. Andy Locklair, spokesman for the Darlington County Sheriff's Office, says the hit and run occurred in the Hartsville area, and deputies spotted the suspect vehicle on Billy Farrow Road around 2:45 p.m.
Deputies pursued that vehicle, which collided with two sheriff's office cars. The suspect then fled his still moving vehicle.
Two other deputies vehicles moved in front of the vehicle to stop it on Highway 151 near Center Road.

After a short foot pursuit, Franklin Harris was taken into custody and charged with possession of cocaine and failure to stop for blue light. More charges are possible.
