COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -
Babies are born everyday at Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital, and Wednesday was no different as several babies were born on that day.
But only one baby was born at exactly 12:12 p.m., and it was Crosley Garrison Davis.
"I think when we heard his birthday was 12/12 we thought there's no way this will happen," said Crosley's mother, Merideth Davis. "You never really hit your due date. And then we hit our due date at 12:12."
Crosley met the mark with just seconds to spare. He is Merideth and Paul Davis' second child, weighing in at 9 pounds 8 ounces.
"I think that was the first thing that came to my mind was he's a big guy," said Merideth.
And then it all set in.
"It's really cool to us," said Merideth. "It's one of those God things where you think only God could have done that. It came and it will definitely be something we'll never forget for sure."
Merideth says she didn't plan on the time Crosley would arrive, but her doctor had other ideas.
"When we got here this morning Dr. G said let's shoot for a 12:12 baby, and I was like 'There's no way that's going to happen,'" said Merideth.
Dad, who in the delivery room, witnessed it all and proudly took pictures of his new son's debut.
"How can you not love that little guy," said Paul. "I don't think it makes him any more special as anyone else who had a baby on a different day."
The Davis's say the rare delivery date and time are great, but it's not the numbers that's special.
"I think what's significant to us about the date and time is that we can trust God, knowing if he wanted him on that specific time and that specific date then we can trust him with the rest of his life," said Paul.
