SPARTANBURG, SC (WYFF) - A massive fire ignited Saturday night at the Old Saxon Mill in Spartanburg. The mill is on Front Street near Spartanburg Methodist College.
Chief Jeff Hadden, with the Una Fire Department, said crews responded to the what is being treated as a suspicious blaze around 9:45 p.m. Saturday.
Hadden said the main part of the five-story building had already burned by the time firefighters arrived.
The mill had been empty for years and there was no power running into the building, Hadden said. Seven fire departments were called to the fire.
