WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Some car enthusiasts helped Lexington County Sheriff James Metts round up toys for some needy children during the holiday season.
The Columbia Classic Chevy Club accepted toy donations Saturday at the Woodberry Plaza shopping center near West Columbia. Toys are part of the sheriff's department's annual holiday toy drive.
Donations go to The Salvation Army, which distributes them to children and families in need. People can also bring toys or monetary donations to sheriff's department offices in Lexington, Columbia, Pelion and Gilbert until Christmas Eve.
