VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -
Valdosta State quickly erased a 12-point halftime deficit and defeated Fort Valley State 83-72 Tuesday night at the VSU Complex.
James Anacreon had a double-double with 22 points and 15 rebounds. Patrick Diop added 20 points.
Valdosta State was down 39-27 at half but took the lead with a 21-5 run to start the second half.
The Wildcats will get a rematch in their gym next Tuesday in Fort Valley at 7:00 p.m.
The Lady Blazers snap a two-game losing streak with a 56-51 overtime win.
Brittany Nelson had a key three-point basket and finished the game with 24 points.
The Lady Blazers are back in action on December 14th at home against Becker College.
