ALBANY, GA -
It was a disappointing end to the season for the Darton men's soccer team but this news might come as some solace for a few outgoing sophomores. Troy Tucker, Soren Yuhaschek and Jowayne Laidley have all been named as NJCAA Division one All-Americans.
The Cavaliers suffered only three loses and went undefeated in conference play doing their time. Darton also captured two District Championships and two national final four appearances.
Tucker, who also earned Region 17 Player of the Year honors, is a central midfielder from Smiths Parish, Bermuda. The NJCAA gave Tucker 1st Team, All America honors. He earned 1st Team honors as a Cavalier in 2011 as well.
Yuhaschek came to Darton from Freedom High School in Orlando, Fla. His role as central defender for the Cavaliers kept opponents to only 13 goals in the 2012 season. Yuhaschek earned 2nd Team honors.
Laidley joined the Cavaliers after graduating Colonial High School in Orlando, Fla. He would become one of Darton's top goal scorers ever, and scored 13 goals in the 2012 season.
