COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Deputies are looking for three suspects who they say rear-ended a man's car then robbed and beat him Sunday night.

Curtis Wilson from the Richland County Sheriff's Department says the victim was sitting in his car at the intersection of Stoneridge Drive and Saluda River Road waiting for a relative around 8:45 P.M. That is near Greystone Boulevard and I-126.

Wilson says a Chevy Tahoe being driven by a black female rear-ended the man's 2006 Chrysler 300.  The woman got out of the Tahoe and was followed by 2 black males who were also in the SUV, according to Wilson.

After an argument ensued, Wilson says one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and robbed the man of his wallet and keys.  They also beat the man with the pistol, knocking him unconscious, according to Wilson.

The suspects took the man's Chrysler 300, according to Wilson, and investigators still have not found that car.  They say the license plate is a South Carolina tag, HRX-721.

The victim was transported to a local hospital.  If you have any information about this case you are asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIMESC.
