ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) - The Anderson County Coroner's Office says one person was killed and three were injured in a crash involving two sport utility vehicles.
Charlie Boseman of the Anderson County Coroner's Office said 30-year-old Janeon Christopher Rice of Anderson died at the scene due to multiple trauma to the chest and neck. Boseman said Rice had a blood alcohol level above the legal limit
The South Carolina Highway Patrol said Rice was driving a Ford Explorer that crossed the center line on U.S. 29 south of Anderson and hit another Ford Explorer head-on at around 6 a.m. Saturday.
Three people in the second Explorer were taken to the hospital. Boseman said one suffered a broken leg and another was to undergo surgery.
