University of South Carolina backup quarterback Dylan Thompson will get the starting nod against the Clemson Tigers tonight, but starting quarterback Connor Shaw remains available.
Shaw showed up at Death Valley on Saturday wearing a walking boot and has been limited in practice all week.
The junior quarterback has been battling a nagging foot issue that he re-injured during the game against Wofford last week.
Thompson took the majority of the snaps during practice, but quarterbacks coach GA Mangus said on Tuesday both QBs would be "ready to roll" for Saturday's rivalry game.
Kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m. on ESPN.
