COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

Fire investigators say an electrical short caused a house fire near the Benedict College Campus Friday night.

Columbia-Richland firefighters were called to a home on Harper St. in Columbia after 5:30 p.m. Friday. It didn't take long for them to get the flames under control.

Firefighters say one person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries that were not related to the fire.

Damage is estimated at $60,000.

The American Red Cross is assisting four people who were displaced by the fire.
