Hello again friends, it's Paul Cameron in the WBTV newsroom.

Tonight at 11:00PM—blinding snow in the mountains and damage on a thousand miles of American coastline, the last 24 hours of Mother Nature's fury are unlike anything we've seen before.

Superstorm Sandy will be the costliest natural disaster ever in the U.S. And we've only gotten a taste of the devastation. It will take days, weeks, months and years to restore what last night took away. For many, there will be no recovering from the loss of life.

In the NC Mountains, early snow means an early ski season. Our reporter, David Spunt, will be live in Blowing Rock where locals are hoping this is a sign of economic good things to come this winter.
