Troopers investigate crash involving sheriff's deputy

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving a Lexington County Sheriff's Deputy.

The crash occurred Friday evening at the intersection of Lake Murray Blvd. and St. Andrews Rd.

The Lexington County Sheriff's Department says the deputy was en route to a call with blue lights flashing when the crash occurred. As the deputy proceeded through the intersection, troopers say a Honda traveling West on St. Andrews collided with the deputy's vehicle.   

The driver of the Honda was transported to Lexington Medical for minor injuries. The deputy was not hurt.

The Highway Patrol has not filed an charges in the crash.
