COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

More than one month after a man was found shot in the middle of Main St., a teenager has been arrested in connection with the murder.

Columbia Police say officers arrested 17-year-old Austin Jamal Murray Thursday and charged him with Murder and Carjacking. He was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

Police suspect Murray was involved in the shooting death of a 48-year-old Michael Davis who was found lying in the middle of Main St. early on September 16th.  Davis later died at the hospital.

Police continue to search for a car that investigators think Davis was driving at the time of the shooting.  The car is a 1996 white, 4-door Mazda Protege with tail lights that were either damaged or not working properly.

At the time of the shooting, police think the vehicle did not have a license plate. The vehicle was seen on surveillance video when Davis was shot.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of the vehicle, or the shooting, call Crimestoppers at 1-888-Crime-SC.
