An incident report details an incident that saw the Richland County Sheriff's Department arrest a now former South Carolina Highway Patrolman on assault charges.
According to the report, 48-year-old Gregory Miller assaulted a woman who had been his girlfriend for 12 years.
The report goes on to say Miller showed up in the victim's front yard on Sept. 17 to talk to her, but discussion grew louder and more heated quickly.
The altercation moved inside the home, the report says, and Miller started to shake the woman angrily while she tried to get him to leave.
