Occupation: Stage lighting technician/retired set designer (SCETV)
Education: B.A. Degree 1971 - Presbyterian College, Major: History & English/ Master's work - USC: Theatre Arts
Experience in Political or Related Positions:
As an active and concerned citizen I have participated as a poll worker and grassroots organizer.
I have listened and learned and now seek to step forward to offer a new voice to make a difference.
I have no formal political experience, but have worked in organizations, including boy scouts, coaching and church leadership over many years.
Why should voters choose you in this election?
Because they believe:
District 4 deserves improved emergency services. Response times for Sheriffs are 25-30 minutes in District 4. Improvements could be made within current budgets, using manned substations and mutual aid agreements.
District 4 deserves a fair share of road maintenance budgets. District 4 is a remote part of a rural county with many miles of unpaved roads that require regular work.
District 4 deserves sensible and simple regulations that do not discourage small start ups. Regulations should be evaluated frequently for effectiveness and the unintended consequences that always follow new regulations.
