MANNING, SC (WIS) -

Although he didn't play for them, Manning High School honored a high school football player who died after collapsing during a game last week.

Manning hosted Hartsville Friday night.  Hartsville lineman Ronald Rouse died last week after he collapsed on the field during a game.

The Manning field crew painted a black ribbon in the field with the initials "RR." Before the game, a moment of silence was held.

Red and black ribbons were passed out in Rouse's memory to help raise donations for his family.

Hartsville players wore Rouse's number 74 on their helmets. Cheerleaders wore red jerseys with number 74 and Rouse's name.

The Darlington County Coroner ruled Rouse died from a sudden irregular heartbeat brought on because he was born with an enlarged heart
