LEXINGTON, SC (WIS) -

Nurses, doctors, and breast cancer survivors from Lexington Medical Center are back again to defend their crown in the Medline Pink Glove Dance Contest.

The contest, which looks to raise awareness for breast cancer, gives hospitals around the country a chance to win $10,000 for a breast cancer charity of their choice.

LMC won the contest last year with their music video set to the Katy Perry song "Firework" and gave the cash prize to The Vera Bradley Foundation. The hospital hopes to rekindle that success with Perry again, using her song "Part of Me" in the new entry.

Officials say the new video, using 1,000 LMC employees and several breast cancer survivors, is working with the theme "Survivor From Day 1" for the entry.

LMC says once again, they're the only Columbia hospital in this year's contest.

Voting begins on Oct. 12 and ends on Oct. 26. You can vote for Lexington Medical Center by looking on this page.
