LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

A hand-written "Employees Only" sign on the back room door of a Highway 321 convenience store wasn't enough to cleverly hide three illegal video gambling machines seized by Lexington County deputies on Tuesday.

The Lexington County Sheriff's Department says the three machines were located in a storage room of the El Cheapo convenience store.

Investigators say people who won card games on the machines were awarded credits that could exchanged for items at the store.

On Wednesday, a magistrate determined the devices to be illegal.

If you know of any video gambling devices in use in the area, you are asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
