Why should voters choose you in this election?

As a lifelong resident of Lexington County, I take great pride knowing our county offers its residents a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family. As such, I am eager to help lead our county into the next phase of growth consisting of job creation, continued improvement of our educational system and consistent enforcement of the law to make our community a safe place to live.

As a local business owner, I experience on a daily basis the importance of job creation and how it directly impacts our community. Promoting local business growth and offering a streamlined "less-government" approach will allow the talent in this community to thrive. According to the 2010 U.S. census, District 5 is the fastest growing area of Lexington County. It will be imperative to have a representative working to bring jobs and businesses to this area that knows first-hand the importance of having a good relationship between business owners and local government.

Education is a vital part of continuing the success of Lexington County. We need to continue to offer our students every opportunity to become leaders and innovators in this economy. As we progress, it is necessary for our children to have the resources available to allow entry into the workforce or continuing education that offers the greatest advantage possible. Successful partnerships between parents, schools, local businesses and government is vital to continue moving in a positive direction.

We are fortunate to have a law enforcement agency and public safety personnel that work hard protecting the citizens of Lexington County. As a member of the Lexington County Sheriff's Advisory Council, I am consistently aware of what is happening in our community. I will continue to fully support the efforts of protecting citizens and businesses and making sure the necessary funds and tools are available so they can successfully perform their duties.
