LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

SLED has arrested a former Lexington County Sheriff's deputy on a charge of criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.

The agency announced Friday that 43-year-old Timothy Anglin of Lexington was charged based on an incident investigators say occurred in 2009. The incident was reported to SLED in August of 2012.

The arrest warrant for Anglin said in June of 2009, Anglin was involved in a physical argument with his live-in girlfriend at their home in Lexington.  During the argument, the woman fell to the ground and Anglin is accused of kicking her and breaking her leg.

The warrant also said Anglin admitted to investigators in August of 2012 that he kicked her and broke her leg.

As a result of the arrest, Anglin was fired Friday by Lexington County Sheriff James Metts.  SLED obtained the arrest warrant for Anglin as the result of an investigation that Sheriff Metts requested SLED conduct.

Anglin was taken to the Lexington County Detention Center.
