One person has died in a crash near Harrisonville, MO, Thursday evening. The crash happened on Missouri Highway 7 and Walker Road. It involved a car and a tractor-trailer. Harrisonville is in Cass County.More >>

Whole Foods announced Wednesday their intentions to open its new store on Cross Hill Road near Garner's Ferry Road later this month.
The company says the store will be open for business on Oct. 25 at 9:30 a.m. after about a year of construction at the site of the old Kroger.
However, Whole Foods says they are offering tours of the new store beginning on Oct. 21 and Oct. 22 for a $5 donation to Palmetto Conservation.
The new store is actually an anchor for a new retail development known as Cross Hill Market. Other stores like Ulta will be opening on or around the same time as the new store.
Developers began talking about trying to attract Whole Foods to Columbia
more than nine years ago and the fact that the chain has finally
decided to open a store here is an indication the Capital City is
growing to compete with places like Charlotte and Atlanta.
Also expected to compete with Whole Foods is a Trader Joe's in Forest Acres, which is set to open in the first quarter of 2013.
