PHILIPSBURG, ST. MAARTEN (WIS) - Prosecutors announced on Wednesday that a Jamaican man has confessed to being involved in the brutal slaying of a Midlands couple found dead in their condominium on St. Maarten.

According to the St. Maarten's Public Prosecutor's Office, Meyshane Johnson admitted on Tuesday his involvement in the killing of Michael and Thelma King.

Johnson, who is employed as a security guard, also admitted to taking part in a robbery four days after the Kings' bodies were found, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors would not release any further details.

Authorities have already arrested a teen, who is only being identified as J.C.M. The 17-year-old is scheduled to face a judge on Thursday.

Both suspects are under full restrictions, which means that the suspect and the lawyer only are allowed to have contact with one another about this case.

The bodies of Michael and Thelma King were found on Sept. 22 in their condominium at the Ocean Club Resort on St. Maarten, a 16-square-mile territory with about 50,000 inhabitants that shares a small island with the French dependency of St. Maarten.

The Kings' funeral was set for Wednesday at Chapin United Methodist Church.
